Flesh and Metal

In this article she was explaining the diffidence between body and embodiment. A good part that i pulled out of the text she said "The body is the human form seen from the outside, from a cultural perspective striving to make representations that can stand in for bodies in general. Embodiment is experienced from the inside, from the feelings, emotions, and sensations that constitute the vibrant living textures of our lives—all the more vibrant because we are only occasionally conscious of their humming vitality. " So when others see me they see an African American student since i go here, and embodiment I'm usually calm, friendly, energetic and very creative at times.

Chance & Indeterminacy

You will need a red and blue pen or color pencil
Step 1: Get a piece of paper
Step 2: Draw a straight line down the middle
Step 3: Have a coin to flip
Step 4: Start writing down your results

1st Flip
Heads: Blue Diamond
Tails: Red Diamond

2nd Flip
Heads: Left Side
Tails: Right Side

My Results:
After completing this process about 30 times it shows that i had more heads then tails. I also see i had more blue diamonds then reds, as well as more on the left side than the right side of the paper. I believe if i did this process again i think it was going to be a different turn out with the opposite of what i got this time.

3 Artist Of Intrest

My first artist choice is ERWIN REDL. The reason i picked him because i like how he used lighting in his designs or artwork. My favorite pictures are the CUBES because it gives a different effect with the clear cubes with different colors reflecting off of them when your looking at them. Another one is the Laser exhibit with the laser going off the walls and also just the color options he used to do these.

My second artist is Electroland. I like that they apply there artwork to buildings because for awhile i use to sketch out buildings and always made them standout with different types or appearances that you don't normally see on buildings in this day or age. My favorite one from this artist is the City National Towers. What they did was made a ring in between the two towers and it looks like its floating in mid air. Another one is called "Pulse". What this does is when a vehicle or person walks passed this building a blue color flow or pulse will show up and following in the same directions they're going.

My Third choice is Amy Youngs. A little crazy in some of her artwork but a few of them caught my eye. The "Glitch Wallpaper" is a little bit funny because it looks as if the wall is not finish or  is trying to download the rest of the wall. When dealing with watching videos and this sometimes happens its outgoing to put it on a wall.

My Thoughts

This article in my opinion is stating the meaning or reason behind having art throughout certain times in history. Through art and artist they show multiples meanings behind their art work pertaining to certain issues going on or just to express their idea through a picture or even a sculpture. Seeing artist as scientist or the other way around seems a little uncommon as a comparison but some ways i can see where they are trying to explain. For example scientist try to create something or somethings using ingredients, chemicals and technology that others wouldn't try to work with. Some are successful and others fail but keeps striving to success. Once they have it created they show it to the world and watch how others are amazed by their new creation or technology. Same goes for artist, artist try to make something out of nothing and make one piece mean so much to people. They sometimes have to throw away a couple of ideas but in the end they know whats right and whats wrong for the art. In the end when they showcase they're art people see them as masterpieces and sometimes would go down in history.
